  • Analysis on the reduction of sensor points Digitale Gracht (DG) – funded by municipality of Amsterdam, 2024. 1 – 2025. Co-PI
    • Analysed number, location and type of sensors in DG, to see how this affects information provided to municipality
    • Determined performance of potential alternative sensors while maintaining KPI quality
  • MEDIATOR - MEdiating between Driver and Intelligent Automated Transport systems on Our Roads – funded by EU Horizon,  2020-2023.
    • The project develops a self-learning mediating system for car drivers, guaranteeing safe, real-time switching between the human driver and automated system based on which is fittest to drive
    • Performed data analysis to gain insights and evaluate the developed system using field-test driving data collected from experienced drivers
  • Nationale standaardisatie Fiets verplaatsingsdata - national cycling data analysis and exploration - funded by Dutch Ministry of Transport (Rijkswaterstaat-RWS), 2023.1 – 2023.9.
    • Developed bicycle data-driven application framework to harness cycling data and extract relevant insights

    • Proposed a conceptual framework for bike delay estimation at signalized intersections

    • Investigated Covid effect on traffic demand (car, bike and PT) and travel behaviour change (pedestrians, cyclists)

    • Designed a traffic state estimation and data fusion module for crown management dashboard at large-scale events

    • Developing an open-source multi-scale multi-modal traffic simulation platform
